Juice Summit 2019

On October 1st and 2nd the Juice Summit once again took place in Antwerp. Well over 500 representatives from all parts of the fruit juice industry met for this highlight in autumn.

The varied presentations covered topics from all parts of the fruit juice production process chain, from the tree to the bottle. The main topics were corporate social responsibility, the fruit beverage market, the supply chain, marketing and trends. Once again, the Europe-wide "Fruit Juice Matters" initiative and the topic of sustainability in fruit juice production were particularly highlighted. In particular, the health aspects associated with the enjoyment of fruit juices were discussed in detail.

A highlight for many participants was the Q & A session with James Quincey, CEO and Chairman of the Coca Cola Company, USA, on the afternoon of the first day of the event. In contrast, the farewell of long-time AIJN Managing Director Jan Hermans, who received the AIJN Award for his achievements in the fruit juice industry on the second day, was an emotional occasion. Many companions and industry personalities thanked Hermans in video messages for his services to the industry.

In addition to the conference programme, three varied evening events once again offered the opportunity for informal exchange and networking with colleagues from the industry.

The next edition of the event will take place on October 14th and 15th 2020.
