Internorga postponed

Instead of March 18 to 22, the fair will now present developments regarding the hospitality industry from April 30 to May 4 at the Hanseatic city's exhibition center. The rapid spreading of the fourth coronavirus wave, with new infection highs being reported daily, does not currently allow a reliable prognosis as to whether the situation can be expected to improve sufficiently by the originally planned date in mid-March. Instead, further challenging weeks are anticipated, combined with increased levels of illness in all areas of society.

For these reasons, Hamburg Messe und Congress, together with the Internorga Advisory Board, has taken the decision to postpone Internorga 2022 to a later date. In this way, those responsible for the trade fair can ensure that the event is held with the usual high levels of quality and that it can be presented to the expert audience with the greatest possible levels of safety.

‘We are aware of the increasing uncertainty among all those involved over the last 14 days and are taking it seriously. But we also recognise the great need for the industry to finally meet and exchange ideas in person again. With that in mind, we are pleasedto be able to offer these alternative dates. Withthe postponement of Internorga ,we want to give our exhibitors the greatest possible planning security and minimise their costs. And we also wantourvisitors to be able to walk through our trade fair centre doors at the end of April feeling good and safe,’explains Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board, Hamburg Messe und Congress.

The new dates of Internorga are from Saturday, 30 April to Wednesday, 4 May 2022 at the Hamburg Messehallen trade fair centre. The International Foodservice Forum will take place on 29 April at the CCH.
